InfoSAWIT, BELITUNG – Palm oil plantation company, PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM) which is the subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (ANJ) released 50 students who successfully passing the test to get Vocation Program or equal to Diploma One (D1) on 6 August 2022. The vocation program is in cooperation with Pendidikan Teknologi Kimia Industri (PTKI) Medan, one government’s university managed by Ministry of Industry Indonesian Republic.

The vocation program or equal to D1 is the realization of commitment of SMM and ANJ Group to support reliable and competent human resources. It would escalate the competency and skill of the graduate so that they, who are from Belitung Timur could compete with others from other regions.

Resident Director SMM, Juli Wankara mentioned, if the graduate passes the vocation program, it is hoped, they could escalate their skills and knowledge when working. They are hoped to be samples that they could compete and have capability to work better.

Evencus Hutajulu, Director of PTKI Medan hoped, their success would be the start for the future after having many obstacles in the learning process.

“Every graduate would get certificate from Ministry of Industry, get transcript, certificate of competency test that BNSP validated,” Hutajulu said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Tuesday (9/8/2022).

Regent of Belitung Timur, Burhanuddin did appreciate and thank SMM for always supporting to develop vocation program. “Take it for the advantage given to you all and always learn. Keep in mind, this is the start and you have to develop yourselves,” he said. (T2)
