InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – To make sure that palm cooking oil supply is enough in this country, the government re-regulates domestic market obligation (DMO) and domestic price obligation (DPO).
In the implementation, every exporter that would export should prepare or allocate 20% of theirs to supply DMO. By June 5th 2022, there had been 251 Export Approvals within the volume reaching about 302 thousand tons.
"The government had been published reached 251 Export Approvals that would export palm oil for about 302 thousand tons," Coordinator Minister in Maritime and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said in online press conference, Sunday (5/6/2022) that InfoSAWIT joined.
Meanwhile, Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi mentioned, the total export plan of crude palm oil (CPO) would be reaching 1.404.000 tons.
According to Ministry of Trade, the 251 Export Approvals would be managed by 23 companies. Export Approvals based on the allocations, are, CPO reaching 30.550 tons, RBD Palm Oil reaching 130.725 tons, RBD Palm Olein reaching 138.657 tons, and Used Cooking Oil reaching 2.10 tons.
The exports would be immediately managed and would not be bad for fresh frui bunch (FFB) price that smallholders produced. Back to Pandjaitan, he said, his side would confirm that FFB could be at Rp 2.500/kg.
"There would be acceleration if FFB price is still cheap. The government would always formulate the policy about it. We hope, FFB would be not less than Rp 2.500 per kilogram, but could be more," Pandjaitan said. (T2)
