InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – A week after the crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivative export ban revocation on 23 May 2022, as a matter of fact, the independent smallholders’ fresh fruit bunch (FFB) does not significantly increase.

General Secretary of SPKS, Mansuetus Darto said, the independent smallholders do not significantly get the increasing numbers and they are much different from FFB price from what plantation agency decided based on the Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 1 / 2018, which is about Rp 1000 – Rp 1900/Kg. The plantation agency in province level decided, FFB should be at Rp 3.500/Kg in average.

“This is very different from the fast decreasing FFB after the CPO export ban announcement by President Joko Widodo some time ago. The smallholders got cheaper FFB up to Rp 2.000 in many regions from it was (Rp 3.500 – Rp 3.900/Kg,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

Chairman of SPKS District of Mamuju Tengah, Irfan said, the independent smallholders in the district, besides having cheap FFB, they are difficult to sell it to the mills. The have to be in line for two to three days because many mills should limit to buy independent smallholders’ production.

“We have sent documents to Head of Plantation Agency District of Mamuju Tengah and Governor of West Sulawesi to evaluate independent smallholders’ FFB price and should monitor the implementation,” he said. (T2)
