BPKN Supports to Audit Palm Oil Sector and PFMA

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Badan Perlindungan Konsumen Nasional (BPKN) supported the plan of Coordinator Minister in Maritime and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan to audit palm oil sector and Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA).

Chairman of BPKN, Rizal E Halim said, the audit expansion should also about the evaluation of Business Rights that ‘naughty’ palm oil plantation companies have had. PFMA should be audited too to follow up what Audit Board of Indonesian Republic found about palm oil fund allocation.

“The people need to know how much biodiesel subsidy had been delivered from PFMA, what companies did get the allocation,” Halim said as in his written statement.

He also mentiond, the whole audit to palm oil plantation companies/industries would reveal the ‘game’ for the past decades that delivered loss for the people and the nation.

It is hoped, palm cooking oil governance would stabilize the price and improve the supply to what Minister Pandjaitan would audit. (T2)
