InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Infrastructure program in palm oil plantations is to planters so that they could increase their plantation productivity, production, additional values, and quality. The infrastructure program is crucial and they themselves should complete every condition.
The targets of the program in 2022 are, extensification that would cover 2.000 hectares (ha); intensification 8.000 ha; the way and water management improvement 6.000 ha; the transportation would be 20 units, Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificate would be 50 packages, post-harvest tools 20 packages; market infrastructures 10 packages, product processing unit would be three.
By April 2022, the infrastructure program had been realized or given to 10 smallholders’ institutions within the total fund reaching Rp 30,7 billion. They are in Jambi Province, such as, in District of Merangin, Muaro Jambi, Tanjung Jabung Barat, and Batang Hari. They got way improvement.
Head of CPO Fund Citation and Dues Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA), Ahmad Munir said the infrastructure program based on Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 3 / 2022 and Decision of General Director of Plantation Number 273 / 2020 , there are 8 (eight) kinds to deliver, they are, seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides (in extensification); fertilizer and pesticides (in intensification); post – harvest tools and product processing units; way and water management improvement; transportation; agricultural machines; market infrastructure; and technical verification in ISPO.
“Every smallholder group is welcome to propose the infrastructure program but the proposal would refer to technical recommendation from General Directorate of Plantation,” Munir said in the fourth series of Webinar dan Live Streaming with the theme “Dampak Positif Program Sarpras dan Pengembangan SDM Bagi Petani Sawit” that plantation media and PFMA conducted in Jakarta some time ago.
He also mentioned, the verification condition process should from the smallholders’ institutions. The proposals would be verified by plantation agency in district, province, and General Directorate would publish the technical recommendation. (T2)
