President Joko Widodo Officially Revoked CPO and Its Derivative Export Ban

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – After almost a week that the launching of petition to revoke crude palm oil and its derivative and palm cooking oil export ban ran, many stakeholders appreciated it.

“We do appreciate our partners from media, smallholders, stakeholders, workers, those who supported the petition, the people of Indonesia, and respect to President Joko Widodo. Thank you for your pray, work, support to revoke export ban petition,” Ignatius Ery Kurniawan who proposed the petition, wrote.

President Joko Widodo in his live broadcast, Thursday (19/5) told that he would revoke the export ban. This would be the strong signal to the sustainability of palm oil industries in Indonesia. “This is good news and the evidence of victory for the people of Indonesia, particularly the smallholders in many regions,” Ignatius, who still studies in Pascasarjana at Institut Pertanian Bogor, mentioned.

Palm oil business which has been developing for more than a centure in Indonesia should always be monitored by many sides, should be the whole parts of sustainable development nationally. We hoped, everyone’s support that helps this hard work would continue the struggle to develop Indonesia from palm oil sectors.

“All the kindness would bring the blessing for everyone of us because Palm oil is Us, Indonesia develops Palm Oil, Indonesia would be Much Bigger,” he explained.

For information, the petition was made on May 14th 2022 at 19.23 WIB. By 19 May 2022, 2.951 men supported and signed it. The visitors of the petition reached 25.123 men and those who shared it reached 1.656 shares or about 75% from the supporters. It means, there has been cooperation from everyone to help the public aspiration to President Joko Widodo.
