InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - According to the reports of Ministry of Industry, in 2021 RBD palm olein (refined bleached deodorized palm olein) export reached 12,7 million tons, while CPO (crude palm oil) export reached 2,5 million tons, and RPO (refined palm oil) export reached 7,5 million tons. It means, the three palm oil product exports reached 22,7 million tons in total.

About palm cooking oil material and palm cooking oil export bans that started on Thursday (28/4/2022), just like President Joko Widodo instructed, Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita predicted, the advantages would be significant to palm oil industries in this country. The stocks of palm cooking oil would be more and more when it was about to export in the first place, can be turned to fulfill the needs in the domestic.

“The allocation which was about to export, would be about to fulfill the needs in this country and there would be increasing stocks,” he said in Jakarta, Wednesday (27/4) as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

Prior Coordinator Minister in Economy, Airlangga Hartarto told, export ban would be available until palm cooking oil selling price is at Rp 14.000 per liter.  

RBD palm oil export ban mechanism would be regulated by regulation of minister of trade and the implementation would be monitored by General Directorate of Customs Ministry of Finance. “RBD palm oil export ban is available for every producer of palm cooking oil,” Airlangga said.

He also told the export ban products are the products within the code Harmonized System (HS) 1511.90.36, 1511.90.37, and 1511.90.39. “We hope the companies would still buy fresh fruit bunch from the smallholders in normal price,” he said. (T2)
