7 Ships Full of CPO Export Were Secured by the Navy

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – After crude palm oil (CPO) and palm cooking oil are officially ban to export, every CPO shipping to export is banned from Indonesia. Chief of Navy, Admiral Army, Yudo Margono confirmed that his side secured 7 ships full of CPO.

Yudo said, this is the same with what President Joko Widodo instructed to stop palm cooking oil materials and palm cooking oil exports.

After arresting the ships, Yudo continued, his side handed over the process to the government. He said that his side coordinated with the related ministry and institution about CPO export ban.

“For the president banned the export, it means, every ship that want to export CPO needs to be arrest. But we keep coordinating with the related ministry,” he said in the head quarter of Navy, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Thursday (28/4/2022).

His side would escalate and focus the patrol to anticipate CPO export. Yudo even instructed his officers to directly arrest every ship if they would smuggle CPO.

The Navy is now ready in the spots where the ships could sail to export CPO. This is about to anticipate the violation of CPO export.

“For we have instruction from President Joko Widodo, we now focus to order our officers. If they see the ship, they should immediately check and even arrest to get the next legal process,” he said. (T2)
