InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – After the government officially banned palm oil exports on CPO, RPO, POME, RBD Palm Olein, and Used Cooking Oil and would sue every side that breaks the regulation, Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Indonesia (Apkasindo) suggested every mill from Aceh to Papua to obey the regulation, namely Regulation of Minister of Agriculture (RMA) Number 1 / 2018 and Governor’s Regulation about Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) Governance as the supporting regulation from the RMA.
“For the mills, stop playing cheating to get too much profits. ‘The party is over’. CPO big buyers or known as the ‘big five’, buy the CPO from the mills according to PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN),” Chairman of Apkasindo, Gulat Manurung said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT recently.
He also said, everything connects to FFB price produced by the smallholders. If any mill does cheat, please call Posko Pengaduan Kecurangan Harga PKS Dewan Pengurus Pusat Apkasindo.
“Since we had the post, there were thousands of reports from the smallholders that derived from 22 provinces where Apkasindo operates and we would always monitor it and report to legal officers to be sued,” he said.
He also thought, in general eight provinces where palm oil grows now have governor’s regulation on FFB governance and the FFB price could be better and flexible if it was not conducive namely since 22 - 26 April when FFB got cheaper about 20 - 40%.
“It was worse in the province that has no governor’s regulation on FFB governance. The cheaper FFB could be about 55 - 70% before 22 April. As the result, the smallholders got loss about Rp 11,7 billion in 4 days,” he said.
He hoped, the law officers of food taskforce in national and regional level should closely monitor what President Joko Widodo decided.
“If the company is ‘bad’ still, there should be legal sue and revoking the permits or trade license for they make the people get loss and insecure the food nationally,” he said. (T2)
