CPO and Palm Cooking Oil Exports Are Banned

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – After President RI, Joko Widodo, Friday (22/4/2022) announced to ban palm cooking oil materials and palm cooking oil, now the government through Coordinator Ministry in Economy officially ban crude palm oil and palm cooking oil exports.

Coordinator Minister in Economy, Airlangga Hartarto said, following up what President Joko Widodo instructed about palm oil cooking oil materials and palm cooking oil export ban, crude palm oil is also banned since 28 April 2022 at 00.00 WIB. 

"Following up what President Joko Widodo instructed, and to make sure that bulk palm cooking oil available, the government bans CPO and its derivatives to export,” Airlangga said in virtual press conference, Wednesday (27/4/2022) in Jakarta, that InfoSAWIT joined.

He also mentioned, CPO production would be fully to be the material of bulk palm cooking oil within the selling price at Rp 14 thousand per liter in this country.

He also explained, President Joko Widodo commits to fulfill palm cooking oil for the people of Indonesia which it derives from CPO.

It means, it is now official that palm cooking oil, CPO, Refined Palm Oil (RPO), Refined, Bleaching, Deodorized (RBD) Palm Olein dan Palm Oil Mill Effluence (POME) are banned. (T1)
