InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Chairman of Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit PIR-Trans (Aspekpir) Indonesia, Setiyono said, the fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price of smallholders in partnership with the company, is still good after the RBD palm oil export ban was announced by the government to stabilize palm cooking oil price in this country.
But he admitted, those who got the impact of the policy is independent smallholders or those who are not in partnership with the companies because some mills – with no discussion with other sides, cut off FFB price from the decision.
“The plasma smallholders have no price issue with the export ban because the price is the same with Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 1 / 2018. But independent smallholders should sell their FFB in much cheaper,” he said to InfoSAWIT, Wednesday (27/4/2022).
Setiyono suggested that the mills should not take the advantage this situation by cutting of independent smallholders’ FFB in one side. But it is admitted that independent smallholders do not sell their FFB in one place, sometimes they also sold raw FFB.
“Heading to Idul fitri, many smallholders generally should harvest their production though it is not mature and eventually the yield in the mills got decreasing. We do realize it to fulfill our daily needs. Sometimes the mills cannot be blamed too,” he said. (T2)
