InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Ministry of Agriculture should not revoke the condition (technical recommendation) in smallholders replanting program (SRP). If not, Ministry of Agriculture and Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) would be difficult to verify those who propose to get SRP.
Chairman of Commission IV Indonesian Legislators, Sudin said, technical recommendation is significant to verify (smallholders) in the field and it is very vital.
“I am really confused why technical recommendation is no more available. Does PFMA have branch to the lowest level? Why do they have big rights for the smallholders but they let it go? Ministry of Agriculture has agency in the regions but PFMA does not. That is why activate the agency for the people to easily inform everything, such as, data input,” he said in the Hearing of Palm Oil Taskforce with General Directorate of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture and Director of PFMA at Gedung Nusantara, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/4/2022) .
Prior according to Hearing with Echelon I Ministry of Agriculture, Monday (4/4/2022), he also asked to re-activate technical recommendation by revoking Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 3 / 2022 about Human Resource Development, Replanting, Infrastructure in Palm Oil Plantation.
But what he asked for has no good response. That is why he reminded that Ministry of Agriculture should immediately consider it. “This is a good suggestion. Activate the agencies in the regions for the people to deliver information, such as, data input,” he said. (T2)
