InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Prior Indonesia’s economy was in contraction 2% in 2020. This year, it is predicted to get increasing almost 4%. Some of the increasing economy are supported by commodity exports.

Omicron variant which hits until now since in the early of this year, the country would struggle for preventing Covid-19 by limiting international arrival and Christmas and New Year holidays.

Reference stock market index was up more than 19% since the last time Forbes estimated wealth by publishing and announcing net wealth from 50 richest men for more than 21% to be US$ 162 billion or increased from 2020 which reached US$ 133 billion.

As quoted from Forbes, almost three fourth of richest men increased in this year. Eight of them got increasing income about more than US$ 1 billion.

The first rank is still R. Budi and Michael Hartono with net worth US$ 42,6 billion or equal to Rp 609,18 billion (Rp 14.300/US$). They have the biggest income in this year with additional income about US$ 3,8 billion or equal to Rp 54,3 billion, namely because of the increasing stock at Bank Central Asia.

Not only in bank, R. Budi dan Michael Hartono have palm oil plantation businesses. The two expanded palm oil business besides smoke. In the flag of PT Hartono Plantations Indonesia (HPI Agro), Hartono brothers now have wide palm oil plantations.

The second rank is the Widjaja. The wealthy men with Sinar Mas is categorized as seven wealthiest man that got decreasing income in this year because of small trade but profits from pulp and paper business. Though their income is less about US$ 2,2 billion to be $9,7 billion, the Widjaja is still in the second rank. (T2)
