D'Cruz is The New CEO of RSPO

InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR – From 15 March 2022, Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) got the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). It was Beverly Postma as CEO RSPO that quitted in May 2021 after the same chairman of RSPO was formed.

Vice Governor Board of RSPO, Anne Rosenbarger and Dato' Carl Bek-Nielson mentioned, Joseph D'Cruz (JD) got the mandate as the new CEO of RSPO.

Prior D'Cruz was more than 20 years in sustainability field. He dealt with sustainable challenges in the globe, starting from environmental conservation, climate change, poverty alleviation, economic development, and disaster recovery.

His last position was as special advisor, Strategic Planning and Innovation at United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York. He led the functions of strategic development in the globe, UNDP future and innovation, and cooperate with UNDP chief in person.

He also monitored network creation to get sustainable development solution, connect the experts from 170 countries and regions to solve the challenges in the globe. During his experiences, he worked with many governments, industries, and communities from many levels in Asia-Pacific and in the globe.

D'Cruz was once as Co-Chair of a Global Future Council at World Economic Forum. He started his career at management consultation, worked at many sectors and industries before joining the United Nations.

D'Cruz is a Malaysian citizen. He went to school in Malaysia, Australia, and United Kingdom within politic, economic, and international development titles.

RSPO Board of Governor felt happy for involving one expert in sustainability and development that will cooperate with sustainable palm oil industries and the team to increase the impacts of RSPO.

“We believe D'Cruz would be very effective to lead RSPO and unite many stakeholders, facilitate, and accelerate sustainable palm oil certificate globally,” Vice RSPO Board of Governors said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

Meanwhile Chief Executive Officer RSPO, D'Cruz said, he is honored to join RSPO to advance one most important agenda in the world.

“Sustainable, social, environmental, and economic palm oil is significant for everyone of use in the future. I hope I can cooperate with the members and partners to realize these visions in the future,” he said. (T2)
