InfoSAWIT, BANJARMASIN – Three business units of EAS Group - PT. Adisurya Cipta Lestari, PT. Batulicin Agro Sentosa, and PT. Kodeco Agrojaya Mandiri got Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificates from two international certificate boards - Bureau Veritas (BV) and TSI International, Monday (21/3/2022) at Hotel Rattan Inn, Banjarmasin.
ISPO certificates were handed over by Director of BV and TSI in person and it was attended by governor of South Kalimantan, regent of Tanah Bumbu, Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA), CEO Jhonlin Group, EAS Group, and directors of EAS Group.
The three companies are the subsidiaries of Eshan Agro Sentosa (EAS Group) which is the member of Jhonlin Group. It operates plantations, palm oil mill sectors and got ISPO certificates according to Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 38 / 2020.
For information, to get ISPO certificate, every company should fulfill some conditions, such as, having plantation business permit, plantation grade which is approved by local plantation agency, business rights, and disturbance permit.
CEO EAS Group, Bambang Aria Wisena said getting ISPO certificate showed that the company is committed to do every business by implementing sustainable governance consistently that covers 3P (people, planet, profit) and transparently conducted traceability in fresh fruit bunch (FFB) supply chain from main, plasma, and independent smallholders’ plantations.
Bambang also mentioned, the commitment is applied to every individual from the top management to field officer within high responsibility. “EAS Group got ISPO certificates as its commitment to produce sustainable palm oil and increase palm oil competitiveness from Indonesia,” he said. (T2)
