2021 Tax Revenue in Riau Increased from CPO and Derivative Taxes

InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – In 2021, General Directorate of Custom (GDC) in Riau got revenue in the province up to Rp 12,167 billion or about 4.124,62% from the target which reached Rp 294,98 billion.

Head of Custom and Excise GDC Riau, Isja Bewirman said, compared to last year revenue, 2021 tax increased 237,8%.

Isja also mentioned, the increasing revenue happened for crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivatives tax which got increasing export reference price. “The import duty in GDC Riau decreased 19,59% for the increasing preferential tariff (SKA) used, decreasing import volume, and duty restitution at Kantor Pengawasan dan Pelayanan Bea dan Cukai Tipe Madya Pabean B (KPPBC TMP B) Dumai in August and September 2021,” Isja said, as quoted from Bisnis Indonesia.

In the supervision, GDC Riau successfully conducted 582 prosecutions. Of the numbers, GDC Riau secured stuffs about Rp 482,8 billion and the potential loss of the country reached Rp 253,7 billion.

Commodity dominated in the prosecutions was illegal tobacco within details, cigarette reaching 23,85 million pieces and other tobacco products reaching 987 liters and potential loss of the country reaching Rp 16,76 billion. (T2)
