InfoSAWIT, SORONG – Administrative Court Jayapura, Papua rejected the claimed of PT Inti Kebun Lestari on Regent of Sorong and Head of Investment and One Stop Service Agency District of Sorong that revoked Location License and Plantation Business License of the company. “Rejected the claim of plaintiff for everything,” the quote of the sentence which was read on Wednesday (12/1/2022).
Regent of Sorong, Johny Kamuru told, the this is the same winning on the case namely for the indigenous people. He thought, District of Sorong is committed to take part and role of them.
“Namely to admit their indigenous rights, give access and cultivation to their indigenous rights on natural resource, and empower their economy,” he said, as quoted from Econusa.
Johny also appreciated and thanked everyone namely the people that supported evaluation process of palm oil plantation license in the district until the revocation. He hoped, all the hard work can save the forests in District of Sorong and protect the indigenous people’s rights.
Prior PT Inti Kebun Lestari had concession license in District of Sorong laying about 34.400 hectares or more than half of Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta. For the company did violation based on the license evaluation, District of Sorong revoked Business License and Location License of PT Inti Kebun Lestari.
The company sued Regent of Sorong within the case Number 30/G/2021/PTUN.JPR - the Decision of Regent of Sorong about Business License Revocation. The company also sued Head of Investment and One Stop Service Agency District of Sorong about Location License Revocation.
Attorney of Regent of Sorong, Piter EII thought, the sentence of Administrative Court is the right one because from evaluation that West Papua Province and District of Sorong conducted and helped by Corruption Eradication Commission, PT Inti Kebun Lestari disobeyed the license conditions published since 2008.
