Many Producers Join to Provide Palm Cooking Oil in Economic Price

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA -  Manager Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Control (QC) PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk (SIMP) Christian Suripto said, the company is ready to support the government’s program to provide palm cooking oil in economic price to fulfill what the people need of by providing distribution ways from mill, store, distributors, and retailers to minimize cost delivery which in the end, the people could afford in economic price.

“In modern retails, such as, minimarket, we directly supply it. The goal is to get short distribution and equal supply. It means, there will be equal price. We also notice the needs in traditional markets and we even advantage e-commerce,” he said, Tuesday (11/1/2022).

By December 2021, SIMP distributed simple package palm cooking oil for about 775 thousand linters or fulfilled what the government decided.

General Manager PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk (SMART) Unit Marunda, Agus Widjaja told, the company is committed to support the government’s program to fulfill palm cooking oil for the people.

“We are in participation to distribute and sell Indonesian National Standard products and have prepared palm cooking oil, the MASKU for about 5 million liters per month,” he said.

PT SMART is optimist that the mill production in Bekasi and Surabaya will fulfill the targets.

“Though it is in pandemic, productivity in MGS mill remains consistent, the supply, such as, crude palm oil runs well and we do health protocols well in MGS according to Circular Letter of Minister of Industry about Izin Operasional Mobilitas Kegiatan Industri (IOMKI),” he said.

By December 2021, PT SMART contributed to stabilize palm cooking oil price by distributing 600 thousand ton - liters in simple package.

Head Business Kawasan Industri Terpadu Wilmar – Serang, Tenang Sembiring mentioned, Wilmar Group is committed to support the government’s program.

Wilmar would distribute 10 million liters per month in the program in many regions in Indonesia.  “We would be in cooperation with many distributors in other regions to assure that our products are available as the highest retail price just like what the government decided,” he said.

By December 2021, Wilmar Group distributed more than 1,1 million liters of simple package palm cooking oil to stabilize price and got over the target, which is, one million liters.

The government prepared fiscal incentive, such as, super tax deduction to get gross income deduction, the highest numbers up to 300% for every company doing research and development in Indonesia to multiply palm oil downstream products. (T2)
