InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR – The 2021 Global Youth for Sustainable Palm Oil Summit joined by more than 8.000 youths from 20 countries and broadcasted live from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
One of them was Adhitya Latif Prahesta as the representative from Indonesia and other representatives from India, China, and Malaysia told their roles and contributions to environmental issues in their own country. Besides, they also closely discussed and delivered commitment for each country.
The student of Account Study Program in Public Sector Vocation School, Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) told, the international youth summit is annual event that Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) conducted to appreciate the roles of youth from all over the world to care about environmental and social issues, such as, diversity, climate change, illegal logging, and consumers’ behavior impacts.
In the event, Adhitya told Indonesian youths are highly enthusiastic to environmental issues and for years, the youths are increasing to notice the issues. Besides, the people of Indonesia are open to use environmental materials.
Indonesian youths are ready to make the citizens in Indonesia smarter to use sustainable materials by every activity and collaboration in Youth in Sustainability Indonesia (YIS Indonesia),” he said, as in the official statement, Tuesday (5/1/2022).
In his final presentation, Adhitya told his message that youths in the globe should unite to get a better future environment. The sustainability of the world is in youths’ hand. “As youth, we can create the better world by our roles and implement sustainable environment. We have no planet B and this, our obligation returns to us to save our same planet together,” he said.
Adhitya also told, for all these years, he is active in YIS Indonesia. together with others, he educates and empower Indonesian consumers by many activity, starting from conducting webinar and competition. (T2)
