Palm Oil Company’s Boss: 24th Young and Richest in Forbes

InfoSAWIT, JAKARA – In the recent days, Forbes released wealthiest people in the world. Of 50 wealthiest men in Indonesia, one of them is young – he is Ciliandra Fangiono.

As quoted from Forbes, Ciliandra Fangiono is the 24th of 50th richest men in Indonesia for having US$ 1,83 billion or equal to Rp 26,17 billion (currency Rp 14.300). Forbes thought Ciliandra Fangiono is the youngest and richest.

He is now the CEO First Resources, a palm oil plantation company listed in Singapore with the plantations in Indonesia. Before CEO at First Resources, Ciliandra worked at investment bank - Merrill Lynch in Singapore. Ciliandra is Senior Economic Scholar and got PriceWaterhouse Book when learning at Universitas Cambridge.

According to the company, he was a Board of Directors in April 2007 and he was a director in April 2019. He has been a Chief Executive Officer in the group for over one decade and playing key roles to map strategies of the group.

The group expands plantation assets and develop to be integrated one to process its own production.

First Resources was established in 1992 and listed in Singapore Exchange since 2007. First Resources is one palm oil producer in Indonesia that cultivates more than 200 hectares palm oil plantation in Riau, East Kalimantan, and West Kalimantan.

The businesses are palm oil cultivation, fresh fruit bunch (FFB) harvest and process to be crude palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel. Besides plantations and mill, the group has distillery and fractionation, biodiesel, kernel crushing mills that produce CPO and palm kernel to be more qualified oil, such as, biodiesel, RBD Olein, RBD stearin, palm kernel, expeller palm kernel. They are sold locally and internationally.
