InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – On 14 October 2021, General Director of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resource (EMR), Dadan Kusdiana told, the government decided 22 Vegetable Fuel Enterprises to procure biodiesel in next year fuel distribution.
In Vegetable Fuel Enterprises, General Directorate of Oil and Gas proposed 18 Fuel Enterprises on 23 October 2021. The plan is that biodiesel volume distribution next year would be 10,1 million kiloliters (kl). “Minister of EMR is still discussing to decide fuel distribution,” Dadan said to journalists.
Meanwhile PT Pertamina still does increase green diesel quality.
Director of PT Pertamina International, Djoko Priyono told, his side is processing to increase treated distillate hydro treating (TDHT) quality.
The process should be complete in December 2021. “We expand Kilang Cilacap per 1 November 2021 and up grading TDHT mill until December 2021. In January 2022 we could produce D100 up to 3.000 barrel per day. Then we would add up to 6.000 barrel per day,” he said in recent webinar that InfoSAWIT joined.
Sub-Coordinator Service and Supervision Directorate of Bioenergy Ministry of EMR, Herbert Wibert Victor Hasudungan said, biodiesel mixture up to 40% or famously known as B40 will be running but the scenario, perhaps, will not totally use biodiesel from esterification or fatty acid methyl ester (FAME).
But the mixture will be using green diesel which is processed in Plaju Cilacap. “B40 scenario is to use biodiesel from esterification about 30% and 10% deriving from hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO). But it is still discussed and studied,” he said.
This may be running because it is not easy to mix diesel in fossil – base with FAME. It needs technics too. Wibert said, the idea to mix 10% materials from HVO is because the technology could produce diesel which is in same quality with diesel – fossil base. (T2)
