DSNG: 7th Big Palm Oil Company in the Best ESG Globally

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSNG) is the 7th rank of 100 palm oil plantation companies globally in Environment Social Governance (ESG) Sustainability Policy Transparency Toolkit (SPOTT) of 2021, published from London, Thursday (18/11/2021)

DSNG got 85,4 score or significantly increased from 2020 with 75,3 score and was in the 16th rank. DNSG is the only palm oil plantation companies with its headquarter in Indonesian in SPOTT top 10.

SPOTT is the study result to ESG for 100 companies in the globe operating palm oil business disclosure.

Director of DSNG, Andrianto Oetomo said, the 7th rank of palm oil plantation companies globally shows that DSNG is serious and committed to transparent ESG, just like stakeholders and society expect.

“Independent assessment result released by SPOTT triggers us to be more serious to implement ESG that impacts in every business line, namely palm oil industries. For us, communication of effective and transparent ESG practices is not an obligation only but also the basic principles of our communication business,” Oetomo said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Monday (22/11/2021).

SPOTT is the initiative developed by Zoological Society of London (ZSL). SPOTT is online platform that supports sustainable commodity production and trace. By conducting transparent trace, SPOTT delivers incentive to companies implementing best practices.

SPOTT assessed commodity producers, processing, and trader companies on their public disclosure about environment, social, and governance. SPOTT also did assess to tropical forestry, palm oil, natural rubber companies in every year for more than 100 special sector indicators to know their progress from time to time. (T2)
