IPOA Will Conduct IPOC 2021: As Palm Oil Gets 30% of Tax

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) will conduct online annual International Palm Oil Conference (IPOC) 2021. It is planned that the event would be officially inaugurated by President Joko Widodo and followed up by Coordinator Minister in Economy, Airlangga Hartarto to deliver his keynote speech.

Chairman of IPOA, Joko Supriyono said, crude palm oil (CPO) has increasing price and the prospect of palm oil business next year would be known by joining IPOC 2021.

“Annual IPOC will be interesting for many who run palm oil business,” he said in press conference that InfoSAWIT joined, Wednesday (17/11/2021).

IPOC 2021 which Mona Surya coordinates still, is good to join in because palm oil has its progress in every single year, namely next year price.

“If seeing CPO selling price trend which gets more expensive until the late of this year, it is better to join IPOC 2021 to get accurate information about next year CPO price prediction,” Mona said.

For information CPO selling price in global markets has something to do with CPO Out Fee (OF) and Export Tax. In November 2021, CPO selling price, based on regulation of minister of trade, the export tax is US$ 1.283,38/ton. According to regulation of minister of finance, the total export tax and levy is US$ 375/Ton.

The big numbers of CPO tax reached 30% that the government decided.

Joko Supriyono said, this is the decision that stakeholders should run according to the regulation. “Numbers of tax and levy depend on CPO selling price. The stakeholders had discussed it,” Joko said.

He continued that IPOA also supported to develop downstream industries in our country to have more power deriving from biodiesel industries. (T2)
