IPOC 2021 Will Have Special Session to discuss with Ministers

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Chairwoman of International Palm Oil Conference (IPOC) 2021, Mona Surya said that in the 17th IPOC and 2022 Price Outlook, President Joko Widodo is scheduled to deliver special speech in the event. Then Coordinator Minister in Economy, Airlangga Hartarto will also deliver keynote speech and officially inaugurate IPOC 2021.

Mona said, what is different from last year event that Indonesian Palm Oil Association conducts is there will be special session for some ministers to reveal the future palm oil development strategies.

“To get the government’s insight in sustainable economic recovery, we dedicate one special session for ministers, such as, Minister of Finance, Minister of Trade, and Minister of Health to deliver special address,” she said in press conference that InfoSAWIT joined, Wednesday (17/11/2021).

She also mentioned, it has been the tradition to present world class senior experts in palm oil to reveal price trend and global issues which impact (palm oil), such as, Dorab Mistry (Godrej International Ltd), James Fry (LMC International), and Thomas Mielke (Oil World).

IPOC is the place for businessmen and stakeholders, owners, CEOs, executives, decision makers both in national and international levels, and other stakeholders to be together discussing strategic issues in palm oil from upstream to downstream sectors. IPOC is also the media for stakeholders to expand their business network both by having sponsorship programs and virtual communication network that committee provides.

The enthusiasm of people of Indonesia and other countries are always increasing in numbers about the conference in every single year. Last year, the first virtual conference was joined by more than 1.100 participants from 30 countries.

In the second virtual conference this year, the committee is optimist that the participants would be increasing. “The seats have reached 900 participants. It shows that the people are enthusiastic still,” Mona said. (T2)
