Indonesian Pro Football Player David Maulana Wants to Own an Oil Palm Plantation in the Future

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – After successfully pursuing a career as an international football player, David Maulana who is now part of the European soccer club, HNK Rijeka, located in Croatia, has an unexpected desire, which is to become a businessman and own an oil palm plantation.

Previously, David Maulana had strengthened the Indonesian U-16 and U-19 Indonesian national teams, then joined the PSMS Medan and Barito Putera academy. In fact, David Maulana has also been the mainstay of Garuda Select in England for two consecutive seasons, and he even became the captain of the legacy of Chelsea players.

From all his success in pursuing a career in soccer, it seems that David has aspirations outside the world of football, the 19-year-old midfielder is interested in pursuing the oil palm plantation business. "I want to be a businessman, I want to have two businesses. A rented or boarding house, the same as another, I want to have a large oil palm area," said David Maulana as written by Indosport.

His desire turned out to be no joke, apparently David had studied the business of oil palm gardening, and even had time to ask those who already owned oil palm plantations. He said oil palm gardening could be a long-term business. "If the money is sufficient, maybe I can start a business little by little, all while playing football," said the young player from Medan.

Currently, David has signed a contract for 1.5 years at the HNK Rijeka club. He will actively play in the Croatian Under-19 League competition which will kick-off starting in August 2021. (T2)
