CPO Prices at KPBN Inacom Withdrawn on Thursday (9/4), Malaysian CPO Trading Tight

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) saw a withdrawal (WD) with the highest CPO bid at Rp14,660/kg on Thursday (9/4/2025). This marks a slight increase of Rp10/Kg, or about 0.07%, compared to Wednesday's price of Rp14,650/Kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Dumai opened at Rp14,665/Kg but was withdrawn with the highest bid at Rp14,660/Kg. The FOB Talang Duku price was set at Rp14,465/Kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, palm oil futures contracts on the Malaysian exchange traded within a narrow range on Thursday but still posted a weekly gain. Traders are now awaiting the release of demand and supply data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) next week for a clue on the next direction.

The benchmark palm oil futures contract for November 2025 delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange closed up RM7 per ton, or 0.16%, at RM4,449 (US$1,058) per ton. On a weekly basis, the contract strengthened by 1.42%.

Trading on Friday will be closed for a national holiday, so a number of traders chose to reduce their positions ahead of the long weekend. A Reuters survey estimates that Malaysian palm oil stocks will increase for the sixth consecutive month in August. This rise is attributed to production continuing to outpace exports, even as global demand begins to recover.

In other vegetable oil markets, the most active soyoil contract on the Dalian exchange fell by 0.14%, while its palm oil contract weakened by 0.21%. On the Chicago Board of Trade, soyoil also saw a slight correction of 0.1%.
