Agrinas Announces New Board of Directors and Commissioners, Featuring Senior Figures from the Palm Oil Industry

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) has officially announced its new board of directors and commissioners as part of a management refresh aimed at strengthening transformation and accelerating work programs. This step marks a new phase of internal consolidation following the company's transition from PT Indra Karya to a national agribusiness holding.

The new leadership team includes retired military figures, cross-sector professionals, and experienced individuals from the palm oil industry.

The latest leadership lineup at Agrinas Palma Nusantara is as follows:

Major General TNI (Ret.) Meris Wiryadi – Independent Commissioner

Kusdi Sastro Kidjan, S.E., M.M. – Deputy President Director

Memed Kosasih Setia Putra – Director of Human Resources and General Affairs

Teddy J. Simatupang – Director of Research, Development, and Sustainability

Ir. Zulham Syakwan Koto, M.B.A. – Director of Business and Commercial

Major General TNI (Ret.) Irwansyah – Head of Regional Office Riau

Major General TNI (Ret.) Cucu Somantri – Director of Legal and Compliance (new position, previously Director of Plantations)

The inclusion of Zulham Syakwan Koto, a senior figure in the palm oil sector, is particularly noteworthy. With extensive experience in major companies such as Cargill Tropical Palm and PT REA Kaltim, as well as a track record as Chairman of the Indonesian Planters Society (IPS), Zulham is viewed as a strategic asset to support Agrinas's business and commercial transformation moving forward.

Management refreshment is also being implemented at the regional level as part of a strategy to accelerate the execution of work programs and achieve operational targets across various regions. This reflects the company's seriousness in expanding its reach and effectiveness in the field.

Agus Sutomo, the President Director of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara, expressed confidence that this new formation will bring fresh energy to fulfill the company's significant mandate.

"We believe that with this new formation, PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) will move faster, sharper, and more impactful," he stated in an official statement received by InfoSAWIT on Friday, July 4, 2025.

This structural change is part of efforts to strengthen adaptive and professional corporate governance. In line with the direction of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Agrinas now holds an important mandate to promote the development of the national plantation and food industry, optimally manage state assets, and create positive socio-economic impacts in its operational areas.

With a more diverse, experienced, and competent management formation, Agrinas Palma Nusantara is expected to address the challenges of the agribusiness sector and become a key driver of food independence and farmer welfare in Indonesia. (T2)
