InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – In the spirit of sharing during Ramadan 1446 H, Musim Mas Group organized a Ramadan Safari in Medan, North Sumatra. This program included support for 650 orphans and the distribution of nearly 6,000 Eid gifts to underprivileged communities around the company's operational areas.
As a global integrated palm oil company operating in Indonesia, Musim Mas Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs. One of the main pillars of the company's CSR is in the fields of Religion, Social, and Culture, focusing on community welfare and sustainable social impact.
Corporate Affairs Manager of Musim Mas Group, Yuandy, stated that the Ramadan Safari reflects the company's concern for the surrounding community. “We take advantage of this blessed Ramadan moment to share and strengthen our bonds with local residents,” he said in an official statement quoted by InfoSAWIT on Wednesday (March 26, 2025).
Throughout Ramadan, Musim Mas Group has organized various social activities, including support and iftar (breaking the fast) with orphans. Additionally, the company distributed nearly 6,000 Eid gift packages containing essential items such as 2 liters of cooking oil, 5 kg of rice, soap, dishwashing liquid, and sugar. This assistance was distributed across various areas in Medan, including Titi Papan, Tanjung Mulia, Mabar, Bagan Deli, Belawan, and several surrounding villages.
The assistance received a warm welcome from the community. Susilawati, a beneficiary from Mabar Village, expressed her gratitude. “This assistance greatly alleviates our family's burden, especially in meeting basic needs during Ramadan. I hope this program continues every year,” she said.
In addition to providing assistance, the iftar event also featured a sermon from a local religious leader. The atmosphere was further enriched with prayers and the distribution of support to the orphans.
The Ramadan Safari program also received support from various parties, including community leaders, village officials, village security personnel (Babinsa), community organizations, and mosque administrators. Their presence ensured that the event ran smoothly and warmly.
Musim Mas Group hopes that this activity can provide tangible benefits to the community and strengthen harmonious social relationships. “In the future, we will continue to develop social initiatives that have a positive impact on the wider community,” concluded Yuandy. (T2)
