InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom has been set at Rp 15,118/kg on Wednesday (March 19, 2025), marking an increase of 0.45% or approximately Rp 68/kg compared to the CPO price on Tuesday (March 18, 2025), which was set at Rp 15,050/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Belawan & Dumai is set at Rp 15,050/kg. Meanwhile, the CPO price for Loco Sei Tapung opened at Rp 14,811/kg but experienced a withdrawal (WD), with the highest bid price at Rp 14,424/kg.

Additionally, as reported by Reuters, the contract price for palm oil on the Malaysian exchange extended its gains on Wednesday (March 19, 2025), supported by stronger vegetable oil contract prices on the Dalian exchange and Indonesia's decision to raise its palm oil export levies.

The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for June 2025 delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange rose RM50 per ton, or approximately 1.15%, to RM4,416 (US$996.84) per metric ton at midday.

The Indonesian government plans to increase its palm oil export levies by 4.5%-10% from the reference price of crude palm oil, up from 3% to 7.5%, to fund the mandatory biodiesel program.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian government is maintaining the export tax on crude palm oil at 10% for April and raising its reference price, as indicated in an official statement on its website on Wednesday.

The most active soybean oil contract on Dalian DBYcv1 rose by 0.27%, while the palm oil contract DCPcv1 increased by 0.93%. The soybean oil price on the Chicago Board of Trade BOcv1 fell by 0.28%.
