InfoSAWIT, MARUNDA – Apical, a producer of sustainable palm oil and vegetable oil, has assured the availability of cooking oil for the public during Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr celebrations. This initiative is part of Apical's support for the government's efforts to meet the demand for MINYAKITA cooking oil.

Metro Jakarta Utara Police Chief, Kombes Pol H. Ahmad Fuady S.H., S.I.K., M.H., along with his team, visited Apical's facility in Marunda, Cilincing, Jakarta Utara, on March 11, 2025. The visit aimed to check the availability and compliance of MINYAKITA standards produced by Apical.

“We directly inspected the production and packaging processes of cooking oil producers to ensure that the 1-liter MINYAKITA packaging volume meets standards. After checking at Apical, we found that the volume is compliant, even exceeding 1 liter,” said Kombes Pol Ahmad Fuady in a statement to InfoSAWIT on Wednesday (March 12, 2025).

Yudhi Damri, SSL & GA Manager of PT Asianagro Agungjaya (Apical), welcomed the visit and reaffirmed the company's commitment to producing quality cooking oil in accordance with government standards.

“Apical is committed to ensuring the availability of both premium and affordable cooking oil like MINYAKITA, at prices that comply with the HET. Every Ramadan and Idul Fitri, we strive to maintain supply to meet public needs,” Yudhi stated.

As part of the People's Packaged Cooking Oil (MGKR) program, MINYAKITA is produced by various businesses, including Apical, to provide affordable cooking oil. The government, through the Ministry of Trade, has set the highest retail price (HET) at Rp 15,700 per liter.

In addition to ensuring distribution complies with the HET, Apical also regularly reminds and educates its partners to ensure that packaging meets the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and correct gram weight. Since 2022, Apical has launched a complaint service via email at minyakita@apicalgroup.com to provide information and education to the public regarding MINYAKITA and HET policies.

“Consumers who purchase MINYAKITA produced by Apical can report if they find prices above the HET, so that further monitoring can be conducted by regulators. We hope that with these joint efforts, the price stability of MINYAKITA can be maintained and more people understand this program,” Yudhi added. (T2)
