InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was set at Rp. 14,740/kg on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. This marks an increase of 0.69%, or approximately Rp. 101/kg, compared to the CPO price on Monday, February 10, 2025, which was Rp. 14,639/kg.
According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the CPO price for Franco Belawan & Dumai was established at Rp. 14,740/kg. Meanwhile, the CPO price in Teluk Bayur opened at Rp. 14,610/kg, but experienced a withdrawal (WD) with the highest bid reaching Rp. 14,518/kg.
In related news, trading of palm oil futures on the Malaysian Exchange and its subsidiaries was suspended for one day on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, in observance of the national holiday Thaipusam.
In its official statement, Bursa Malaysia announced that all trading, clearing, settlement, and securities depository activities would be halted for the holiday. Normal operations are set to resume on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Thaipusam is a significant religious celebration observed by the Hindu community, particularly among Tamil Hindus, in Malaysia, Singapore, and several other countries. In Malaysia, Thaipusam is an official public holiday in several states, including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, and Negeri Sembilan.
