InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) stood out at the 3rd International Food Research Conference (IFRC) held at Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). With a focus on promoting sustainability, MPOC highlighted automation and mechanization in palm oil plantations as a strategic step for the industry.

According to InfoSAWIT, En Abdullah Zawawi Mohamed from SD Guthrie Berhad was the keynote speaker, discussing robotics and AI innovations in a presentation titled “Reimagining Plantations through AI and Robotics.” This session attracted the attention of 200 international delegates and sparked in-depth discussions.

Additionally, MPOC showcased health products based on palm oil, reinforcing the innovative image of Malaysian palm oil. Active participation in exhibitions and lunch discussions with stakeholders further enhanced the positive perception of sustainable palm oil in the global market. (T2)
