InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT. Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) was withdrawn (WD) with the highest offer at Rp 13,789/kg on Thursday (January 9, 2025), marking a 1.56% decrease or a drop of approximately Rp 219/kg compared to the highest CPO price offer on Wednesday (January 8, 2025), which reached Rp 14,008/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the price of CPO Franco Dumai opened at Rp 13,852/Kg but was withdrawn (WD) with the highest offer at Rp 13,789/kg. The price of CPO in Teluk Bayur opened at Rp 13,722/Kg and was also withdrawn (WD) with the highest offer at Rp 13,653/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, palm oil futures prices on the Malaysian Exchange fell for the second consecutive session on Thursday (January 9, 2025) due to weak demand putting pressure on prices.

The March 2025 palm oil futures contract price on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange dropped RM 85 per ton or approximately 1.95%, to RM 4,269 (US$ 949.51) per metric ton at midday. The palm oil contract price recorded a 0.25% decline on Wednesday.

Additionally, the most active soybean contract price on Dalian DBYcv1 fell by 1.03%, while the palm oil contract price DCPcv1 decreased by 2.79%. The soybean price on the Chicago Board of Trade BOcv1 dropped by 1.15%.
