InfoSAWIT, BANDA ACEH – The end of 2024 marks a proud moment for Aceh Polytechnic as one of its scholarship recipients, Jamilus Zaki Ronata, gained international recognition at the International Youth Innovation Summit (IYIS) 2024 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, throughout December.
Jamilus, a Diploma III Mechatronics student, achieved not just one but three prestigious medals at the event. He secured 1st Place in the Presentation category, 1st Place for Best Video Project Innovation, and 2nd Place for Best Project Innovation.
This remarkable achievement not only highlights the excellence of Aceh Polytechnic but also brings pride to Jamilus's hometown in Kaur Regency, Bengkulu Province.
In an official statement received by InfoSAWIT on Monday (30/12/2024), Aceh Polytechnic Director Hilmi expressed his appreciation for the accomplishment. “This achievement is a source of immense pride for us. It demonstrates that the guidance provided by our lecturers at Aceh Polytechnic motivates students to excel, both nationally and internationally. We continuously encourage recipients of the Palm Oil Scholarship to achieve excellence in both academic and non-academic fields, preparing them for future careers in the palm oil processing industry,” he stated.
Echoing this sentiment, Hendratmojo Bagus Hudoro, Director of Plantation Protection at the Directorate General of Plantations, Ministry of Agriculture, congratulated the student for his international accomplishment. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting programs that enhance the achievements of Palm Oil Scholarship recipients across universities in Indonesia.
The IYIS 2024 event awarded honors in five categories: Best Delegate Project, Best Team Project, Best Speaker Project, Best Presentation Project, and Best Video Project. The success of Aceh Polytechnic students underscores their quality and competence on an international stage.
Jamilus's achievements are expected to inspire other students to innovate and represent Indonesia with pride in global arenas. (T2)
