BPDPKS Reopens Palm Oil Research Grant Program 2025, Seven Research Areas Prioritized

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDPKS) has officially reopened the Palm Oil Research Grant Program (GRS) 2025, an initiative aimed at funding research and development in the palm oil sector. This program seeks to enhance productivity, efficiency, sustainability, and create innovative products and new markets with added value for the palm oil industry, government, farmers, and communities.

This program is open to research and development institutions in Indonesia that focus on palm oil research. BPDPKS invites researchers to submit proposals by March 21, 2025, through the official website: https://program-riset.bpdp.or.id/.

In this program, BPDPKS has set seven priority areas for research topics: first, Bioenergy; second, Biomaterials & Oleochemicals; third, Food, Feed, and Health; fourth, Land, Soil, & Cultivation; fifth, Post-Harvest & Processing; sixth, Waste Processing & Environment; and lastly, seventh, Socio-Economics, Management, Business, Market, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

BPDPKS also provides a Technical Guidance Book that includes requirements, criteria, formats, proposal submission mechanisms, and monitoring and evaluation systems for the program. This document can be accessed through the official BPDPKS website: www.bpdp.or.id and the research program page.

As part of the socialization, BPDPKS will hold a webinar on the registration process and technical aspects of the program. The schedule for the webinar will be announced through the official BPDPKS website.

"This program is a strategic step to encourage the advancement of the national palm oil industry through innovative and applicable research," stated BPDPKS in an official announcement.

With the opening of GRS 2025, BPDPKS hopes to see more research contributing to the development of sustainable palm oil while strengthening Indonesia's competitiveness in the global plantation sector. (T2)
