InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The price of crude palm oil (CPO) at PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) Inacom was set at Rp 15,553/kg on Friday, December 13, 2024, marking a 0.42% increase or an increase of approximately Rp 65/kg compared to the CPO price on Thursday, December 12, 2024, which had the highest offer at Rp 15,488/kg.

According to information obtained by InfoSAWIT from KPBN, the price for Franco Dumai was set at Rp 15,553/Kg. The price for CPO in Talang Duku was set at Rp 15,353/Kg, and the price for CPO in Teluk Bayur was set at Rp 15,423/kg.

Referring to InfoSAWIT's calculations, during the period of December 2-6, 2024, the average CPO price at KPBN recorded a decrease of Rp 180.80/kg to Rp 15,683.20/kg, representing a decline of about 1.14% compared to the average CPO price in the previous week (December 2-6, 2024), which reached Rp 15,864.00/kg.

Meanwhile, as reported by Reuters, palm oil futures prices on the Malaysian Exchange extended losses on Friday, December 13, 2024, following declines in other vegetable oil prices on the Chicago and Dalian exchanges, and are set to record weekly losses.

The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for February 2025 delivery on the Malaysian Derivatives Exchange fell RM 35 per ton or about 0.71%, to RM 4,886 (US$ 1,097.98) per metric ton at midday. The palm oil contract has recorded a 4.72% decline over the week.

Additionally, soybean oil prices fell by 0.61% on the Chicago Board of Trade, while the most active Dalian soybean oil contract DBYcv1 dropped by 0.97%, whereas the palm oil contract DCPcv1 increased by 0.44%.
