InfoSAWIT, NORTH MOROWALI – The Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) is scheduled to summon Santosa, the President Director of PT Astra Agro Lestari (AALI) Tbk, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The investigation concerns the alleged unlawful acquisition of a land concession (HGU) belonging to PTPN XIV in Era Village, North Mori Subdistrict, North Morowali Regency, by PT Rimbunan Alam Sentosa (RAS), a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari.
Laode Abdul Sofyan, SH, MH, Head of Public Relations for the Central Sulawesi Kejati, confirmed the scheduled questioning on Friday, December 6, 2024. He revealed that the alleged land acquisition might have caused state losses of up to IDR 79 billion, as determined by an independent auditor. “We are delving into suspected money laundering activities involving PT RAS,” Laode stated, as quoted by InfoSAWIT from luwuktimes.id on Monday, December 9, 2024.
Several senior executives of PT AALI Tbk have already been questioned, including Daniel Paolo Gultom (Head of Finance Division), Arief Catur Irawan (Operational Director), Tingning Sukowignyo (Financial Director), and Lusi Herdiyanti (Operational Manager). Investigators have also summoned Buntoro Rianto, an auditor from Tanudireja Wibasana, along with other officials from AALI’s subsidiaries.
From PTPN XIV, former directors Ryanto Wisnuardhy (2019–2021) and Suherdi (2021–2022) have also provided their statements.
Responding to the planned questioning of Santosa, Mochamad Husni, Media & PR Analyst Manager at PT AALI Tbk, stated he had yet to receive official information. “So far, I haven’t heard about this matter,” Husni said.
In a previous press conference in Palu, Husni emphasized that PT AALI consistently complies with legal summons. “Sometimes urgent matters arise, and we request a rescheduling,” he explained. He also highlighted the company’s contributions to regional development and local economic growth.
“We respect the ongoing legal process and will provide full support,” Husni concluded.
This high-profile investigation has captured public attention as it involves land governance issues and alleged legal violations by one of Indonesia’s largest companies. (T2)
