InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) re-confirmed its reputation as the company that prioritized sustainable governance. In the Annual Report Award (ARA) 2023, ANJ successfully got the highest award in Non-Fianceial Go Public Company – category. The award was handed over by the Chairman of Komite Nasional Kebijakan Governansi (KNKG), Mardiasmo and Chief Direcctor of ARA, Sigit Pramono to Lucas Kurniawan, Director of ANJ together with Independent Commissioner of ANJ, Darwin Cyril Noerhadi at the hall of Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), Jakarta, Monday.
ARA is the annual award event that Ministry of Enterprises, General Directorate of Tax, Indonesian Bank, BEI, KNKG, and Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia initiated. It was about to encourage transparency and good governance practices namely in the annual reports that were integrated with sustainability aspects.
The award for ANJ, according to Darwin Cyri Noerhadi, would be the acknowledgement for the commitment of the company about open information and good governance. “This is an honor for ANJ to get ARA 2023 Award again,” Darwin said in the official statement, as InfoSAWIT quoted, Friday (11/10/2024).
Lucas Kurniawan said that the annual report of ANJ informed more than financial performance. “Our reports also described the business strategies, sustainability initiatives, and other significant achievement. We do believe that the success of a company would be known and measured not only in financial performance but also the positive impacts delivered to the people around and the environment,” Lucas said.
He also emphasized the theme relevance of ARA this year and the modern business dynamic. Sustainability aspects would be the main priority in business operation. He thought, the integration among the environment, social and governance (ESG) aspects would be very significant to create long term value for every stakeholder.
The award was not the only one for ANJ in 2024. Two subsidiaries of ANJ, PT Kayung Agung Lestari (KAL) and PT Sahabat Mewah Makmur (SMM) also got the Best Innovation in ESG Implementation (Manufacturing) in the Indonesia Green & Sustainable Companies Award (IGSCA) 2024 that SWA Media Group conducted. SMM even got the Best Innovation in Circular Economy Implementation.
In the international level, ANJ got to the final stage in the Biodiversity category in the Reuters Sustainability Awards 2024. This emphasized the company actively played its roles to conserve the natural conservation. (T2)
