InfoSAWIT, NUSA DUA – Deputy II in Food and Agribusiness Coordination Coordinator Ministry in Economy, Dida Gardera emphasized that it would be significant to get policy and strategy transformation to encourage palm oil industries. He said that in the Pekan Riset Sawit Indonesia (PERISAI) 2024. The event was also discussed about many government’s initiatives to reinforce sustainable and tough palm oil industries in the global scale – trade.

He said the government’s strategies to increase palm oil industrial competitiveness and it would be significant to get collaboration among the governments, the industries, and research institutions to realize the innovations that would deliver long term advantages for this sector.

General Director of Agro Industry Ministry of Industry, Putu Juli Ardika that also attended it, said how the government supported to develop sustainable palm oil industries. “The government is committed to support every initiative that would support sustainability both from the environmental and economic aspects, through the right regulation and initiatives,” Putu said, as InfoSAWIT quoted, Friday (4/10/2024).

Chairman of Asosiasi Investor Indonesia, Didiek Hadjar Goenadi did appreciate PERISAI 2024 and what the government and Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA) conducted. Didiek thought, palm oil would be the main commodity in the world and annual research that PO PFMA funded, helped the industries to face many challenges.

“The research that PO PFMA conducted, would be very significant for the industries and the government. The technology results should be immediately commercialized to reinforce the position of national scale – industries in the world,” Didiek said.

PERISAI 2024 that many stakeholders attended, should get the new breakthroughs to support the transformation in palm oil industries to be more sustainable and competitive in the globe. (T2)
