InfoSAWIT, BANDUNG – Central Kalimantan Province through its Plantation Agency joined the technical development meeting about palm oil profit sharing fund optimization. It was conducted by Ministry of Finance in the office of General Directorate of Customs, Bandung, West Java Province.

It focused on the evaluation of palm oil plantation profit sharing that was running and the preparation to manage the fund for 2025. Palm oil plantation profit sharing is regulated by the Laws Number 1 / 2022 about Financial Connection between the Central and Regional Governments. The main goals would be about to minimize the fiscal gap between the central and regional government, to deal with the negative externalization, and increase the equity in non-palm oil plantation regions.

In her speech, Chairman of Non-Natural Resource Palm Oil Profit Sharing Team, Mariana Dian Safitri said export citations got decreased and had something to do with the fund transfer to the regions. “In the first phase, 329 regions for the profit sharing while the other 20 did not get it. In the second phase, 168 regions got it while the 100 ones should get revision, 76 regions got the fund but the other 24 ones did not qualify, and 181 regions did not deliver terms to get the second – phase transfer,” she said, as InfoSAWIT quoted, Sunday (29/9/2024).

Meanwhile, Central Kalimantan Plantation Agency, Rizky Ramdahan Badjuri said that Ministry of Agriculture played the significant roles to get data about smallholders’ plantation data, develop the certification of Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO). “The data was basd on the Decision of General Directorate of Plantation Number 37 / 2024 about the Guideliness to publish Cultivation Documents,” Badjuri said and continued that the certification process ran as the regulation.

The meeting was attended by some related ministries’ officials, such as, Chairman of Land Resource Group, Ministry of Agriculture, Rhomauli Siagian, and Head of Sub Forest Reforestation Directorate, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Maragona Purbo. They told their opinions that it would be significant to get collaboration among many sectors to increase palm oil profit sharing quality in palm oil plantation sectors. (T2)
