InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In July 2024, crude palm oil (CPO) production in Indonesia reached 3.617 thousand tons, got decreased 2,0% from June production that reached 3.691 thousand tons. Palm kernel oil (PKO) production did too to be 344 thousand tons from 354 thousand tons in June 2024.

Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) reported that in a whole, CPO production in 2024 until July was 5,99% less than it in the same period in the previous year, or got decreased from 32.066 thousand tons to be 30.146 thousand tons.

CPO consumption in this country got increased to be 2.030 thousand tons in July 2024, got increased from 1.940 thousand tons in June. The food consumption did decrease 40 thousand tons and oleochemical consumption did too, 7 thousand tons. But biodiesel consumption significantly got increased from 898 thousand tons to be 1.035 thousand tons.

In year on year (YoY) until July 2024, the domestic consumption reached 13.510 thousand tons, or got increased 2,17% from the previous year that reached 13.223 thousand tons.

“Food consumption got decreased to be 5.767 thousand tons or 5,18% smaller than it in the previous year. Oleochemical consumption reached 1.301 thousand tons or got decreased 2,11%. Biodiesel consumption got escalated to be 6.442 thousand tons or 10,84%,” Executive Director of IPOA, Mukti Sardjono said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday (27/9/2024). (T2)
