InfoSAWIT, NORTH BENGKULU – Regency of North Bengkulu through Plantation Agency North Bengkulu handed over cultivation documents for the smallholders/planters in the Village of Taba Tembilang. It was running at the office of Koperasi Serba Usaha (KSU) Bina Karya Mandiri and would be the significant moment for them to increase their area legal.
Regent of North Bengkulu, H. Mian in his speech emphasized that it would be significant to get legal in smallholders’ plantation cultivation. “The regency specially pays attention for the smallholders’ cultivation by publishing cultivation documents. The certificates would be significant to confirm area data that the smallholders/people have and would be opening access from the governments’ programs, both from the central and regional ones,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of the regency, Sunday (22/9/2024).
By having cultivation documents, the planters would be easier to get technical helps, trainings, and other supports needed to increase their plantation cultivation and welfare. He also reminded it would be important to pay all debts if the smallholders have had credits. This is about to maintain the smoothness to what the government would program.
Head of Plantation Agency North Bengkulu, Desmian Siboro did support the people. “The certificate should help the planters to get other supports to develop their businesses and their plantation productivity would be always increasing,” he said.
Besides handing over the cultivation documents, the event was commemorated by handing over cutting grass machine symbolically for the representative of smallholders’ group. It was one help of the government to increase their palm oil plantation cultivation. Regent Mian hoped the helps would minimize the planters’ burden but escalate the harvest results.
The cultivation documents were handed over to some groups, such as, Kelompok Tani Bina Usaha within 27 members and Gapoktak Karya Nyata Bersama within 78 members.
"This would be a significant event to support the smallholders’ sustainable plantation. We do hope that by having the documents, the planters would be more competitive and better in the Regency of North Bengkulu," Siboro said.
Many heads of related agencies, general manager of PT SIL, head of sub district of Argamakmur, head of Village of Taba Tembilang, and other invitations did attend the event. (T2)
