InfoSAWIT, PALU – Koperasi Mujur Jaya Molino would take its case to Poso Court by claiming PT Agro Nusa Abadi, the subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari. The trial would be about to get solution on civil case by hoping to get some justice.

The claim started from the agreement five years ago between Koperasi Mujur Jaya Molino and PT ANA. Actually, what the two agreed with, should actually be continued by signing memorandum of understanding (MoU). But after three years, there was no MoU at all while the debts of Koperasi Mujur Jaya Molino to PT ANA reached Rp 90 billion.

Chairman of Koperasi Mujur Jaya Molino, Agus Batulapa said that even though they paid their debts about Rp 48 billion, the interest got increased 12,75 percent per month and it was not regulated in the first agreement. Agus thought the interest would be taken as the fault because there was no agreement from the cooperation.

“In the previous trial at Poso Court, the expert witness confirmed that PT ANA that made interests for the union, was a fault,” Agus said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from Rotari.id, Tuesday (17/9/2024). He also mentioned that the cooperation would get the cash about Rp 39 billion back. It was the interest accumulation that the cooperation paied in the past four years.

He was optimist that the next trial would win the claim. “We believe we would win the case. We have to get the fairness from this issue because it significantly delivered impacts to our members,” he said. Until now Koperasi Mujur Jaya Molino has about 620 members with their plantations about 900 hectares.

The trial to read the sentence would be on 19 September in Poso Court. Koperasi Mujur Jaya Molino hoped the sentence would serve the justice as what they hoped for. (T2)
