InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Days before, the government through Coordinator Ministry in Economy informed that smallholders replanting program (SRP) fund that was supported by Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PO PFMA) was committed to increase SRP fund which was from Rp 30 million per hectare to be Rp 60 million per hectare.
It has been officially decided by Director of PO PFMA Number Kep-252/Dpks/2024 about Numbers of Smallholders Replanting Fund that PO PFMA would Fund.
According to the regulation that InfoSAWIT noticed, Friday (13/9/2024), this was from the meeting result of PO PFMA Steering Committee that was reported by Expert Staff in Natural Resource and Service Development Connectivity on 29 July and 5 August 2024. The documents informed that the changing supports for SRP to accelerate palm oil plantation replanting in Indonesia namely for the smallholders.
“The numbers of SRP fund would be Rp 60 million per hectare," the regulation noted. It would be available since on 1 September 2024. This would be the good news because SRP would be significant to maintain plantation productivity and increase the smallholders’ welfare.
The government hoped that SRP would be more effective and sustainable, support economic development and increase palm oil competition of Indonesia in the global level sustainably. (T2)
