The increasing FER reflected the better welfare of the farmers in their agricultural product exchangeability to the goods and services consumed or used for production costs.

CBS thought, the increasing FER in August 2024 happened for the increasing price index received by the farmers, while price index paid by farmers got decreased 0,12 percent. This showed that the farmers’ income from their product selling got escalated while the spent for production and consumed got decreased and this improve their purchasing capability.

In the province level, Gorontalo got the highest increasing FER of other provinces. In North Sulawesi, FER got the biggest decreasing that reached 2,25 percent.
