Landak Legislators Urged Wilmar Group to Accomplish Business Permit

InfoSAWIT, LANDAK – Commission B Landak Legislators did the hearing on Monday (26/08/2024) about tax on Acquisition Fee on Building and Land Rights (AFBLR) from palm oil plantation companies in the Regency of Landak. The main focus of the meeting was palm oil plantation company, Wilmar Group that did not get business rights even though it has been operating in the regency for dozens of years.

Chairman of Commission B, Landak Legislators, Evi Juvenalis, SH said that the revenue income from AFBLR was not realized yet. “We delivered time limit for plantation companies to accomplish business rights until September 2024. This should be fast because the company has been operating for about dozens of years without having business rights,” Evi said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from strateginews.id, Saturday (31/8/2024).

Evi also mentioned if the problem would not get solution fast, the institution would take the case to higher level legal institution, including to establishing special committee. But she suggested to maintain conducive investment climate in the regency. “If the targets of regional revenue in Landak would not be realized because palm oil plantation companies contributed less, we would recommend the technical agency to firmly act/claim as the regulation,” Evi said.

In the meeting, Landak Legislators also warned the technical agency to immediately establish acceleration team to deliver solution on business rights issue. Evi emphasized the companies should be committed to pay their obligation as the available regulations.

To respond it, the representative of PT. Daya Landak Plantation (DLP) Wilmar Group, Ervin said that the company would accelerate to get business permit. “We would obey every available regulation and be in process. But we need help from the regional government to solve every issue to get business rigts,” Ervin said.

Until now there are five plantation companies managed by Wilmar Group that have no business rights in the Regency of Landak, they are, PT. Putra Indotropical, PT. Indoresin Putra Mandiri, PT. Pratama Prosentindo, PT. Agronusa Investama, and PT. Daya Landak Plantation. The companies should get business permits to confirm their contribution optimally to deliver revenue for the region and continuous operation as the available regulation. (T2)
