InfoSAWIT, KETAPANG – To confirm that every export activity would run smoothly and obey every available regulation, the Customs of Ketapang did supervise and service to 3.998 metric tons of crude palm oil (CPO) exports from PT Andes Agro Investama, Friday, 23 August 2024. It was part of the institution to protect the people and support the industry.
The CPO export managed two phase examinations, the first was physical check (calculation) with the goal, to know the goods to be exported. The second was the laboratory test to confirm the adjustable of products with the export information. “The laboratory test would be very significant to confirm that kinds of products are adjustable with what has been registered in the information while to know kinds of products, it was examined by sounding technic,” Subhan Khaeri, Head of Internal Obedience and Counseling, Customs of Ketapang, said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of the Customs, Tuesday (27/8/2024).
CPO is one mainstay export commodity from Indonesia, plays its role for many industries in the world. It was processed from the extraction of fresh fruit bunch and used for many products, such as, palm cooking oil, margarine, processed foods, cosmetics, hair and skin products, and also for biodiesel. “CPO is the vital product that massively delivers impacts for food, energy, cosmetic industries in many countries,” Subhan said.
The export supervision and service would be the real roles of the Customs to protect the people and support industries to confirm that the exports would smoothly run as the available regulation. “The export service and supervision would be the work implementation of the Customs in community protector and industrial assistance. Hopefully, this would be better in the future,” he said. (T2)
