InfoSAWIT, WEST ACEH– The member of West Aceh Legislators, Ahmad Yani encouraged the regency to get deeper study about kerjasama pemerintah dengan badan usaha (KPBU) scheme for palm oil plantations. He thought it would be the effective solution to cultivate abandoned areas and encourage people’s economic development that got no capital to cultivate the areas.
“The idea of people’s palm oil KPBU could be the alternative to cultivate new plantations namely for the people that got limited access of finance. Many unproductive abandoned areas and they need initiatives from the government. We would support KPBU scheme,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from AJNN, Saturday (24/8/2024).
Yani also mentioned if the scheme would run well, the abandoned areas in the regency would be narrow but becoming productive. Besides, the people that got limited access in finance would positively get the impacts from the presence of the government to get economic progress.
KPBU scheme should be in harmony with the national scale agency to conquer extreme poverty by creating sources of new income for the people. “If it runs as the available regulation and mechanism, the scheme would help increase the people’s economy. We hope this would be the priority,” Yani said.
He also hoped the regency would immediately formulate the clear concept about KPBU so every abandoned area in the regency would maximally be cultivated to escalate the people’s lives. The scheme should be the long term – solution about abandoned areas in West Aceh and encouraging sustainable economy for the local. (T2)
