Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry, Malaysia, Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz said that this would be part of Malaysia to reinforce its position in vegetable oil trade globally.
As InfoSAWIT quoted from The Sun, in the meeting recently with Executive Director of Emami Agrotech, Manush Goenka in India, the two discussed the potential of the companies to escalate palm oil exports from Malaysia. Emami Agrotech is known as one company that produces palm cooking oil and food product in India. The increasing imports would deliver profits for both.
“India is the biggest vegetable oil imports in the world and 59 of them consisted of palm oil,” Tengku Zafrul uploaded his words in platform X. The statement meant that India would be strategic country for Malaysia in palm oil industries.
The cooperation with Emami Agrotech should reinforce not only trade relationship between Malaysia and India but also confirm that palm oil supply would be stable to fulfill the increasing needs in India. (T2)
