InfoSAWIT, PADANG – Ombudsman Indonesian Republic did important discussion to solve palm oil issues in Sub district of Kinali, Regency of Pasaman Barat. It was in the Ruang Rapat Istana West Sumatera Governor’s Office, involving many parties, such as, smallholders’ groups, producers, plantation agency in the province and regency, legal secretariat of Regency of West Pasaman and PT Laran Inter Nusa.
In the meeting, Yeka Hendra Fatika, the member of Ombudsman said that the plantation issue happened for too long and it needed to effectively prevent everything to deliver fairness for every party, both the villagers and the stakeholders. He said that the meeting would not be regular discussion only but also be the part to examine if there had been mal-administration in the plantation issues.
“We independently work and we please every party to deliver their opinions. We would accept every input and be used as the materials to get corrective action that would return the situation to the right regulation,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of Ombudsman RI, Saturday (17/8/2024).
Governor of Sumatera Barat, Mahyeldi Ansharullah said that the province was open to every input and public service, namely about the issue. He emphasized the province would be committed to help and deliver solution on the issue namely to establish land agency that would specially solve such cases.
“We would be very helpful for Ombudsman attends here to solve the case. We established land agency because the issue could be solved by agrarian affairs and spatial/national land agency,” Mahyeldi said.
It is hoped to get the right and fair solution. The result of the meeting would also the base for Ombudsman to get further action to solve the case. (T2)
